Recaptcha
What is Recaptcha and what do we use it for?
We use “Google reCAPTCHA” (“Recaptcha”) on our website. This is a service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”).
Recaptcha is used to determine whether data submitted to our website (for example via forms) comes from a person or an automated program. To be able to do this, Recaptcha analyzes the behavior of the visitor of the website based on different characteristics. This analysis starts automatically as soon as the visitor starts using the website. Recaptcha analyzes a variety of information, such as IP numbers, how long the visitor has been on the website, mouse movements, and more. The data collected during the analysis is then forwarded to Google.
The analysis that Recaptcha performs takes place completely in the background, and the visitor does not receive any visual or similar demonstration that this is happening.
The use of Recaptcha and the data it collects are supported by Art. 6 (1) (e) GDPR. This means that the owner of the website has the right to protect his website from automated spam and other attacks.
